FaithQuest Team Member Carlos Sales
Carlos Sales joined Faithquest Missions full-time after 13-years of pastoral ministries in several mega-churches in Southern California. Carlos joined FaithQuest and our vision to mobilize churches in the US to put their faith into action. Carlos shares here on his personal life and passions: " I've been happily married to Lisa since May of 1987. We have four children... Gracie (17), Alison (16), Olivia (15) and Chase (11). Lisa home schools our children. However, Chase has Down's syndrome, so he currently attends a special needs school in Vista. Our family loves to swim and play games together. We love to vacation as a family and one of our favorite vacations each year is Forest Home Family Camp. I enjoy riding street motorcycles, computers, reading and working out. I'm passionately committed to helping people develop and build an intimate love relationship with God through prayer, study of His Word, and using their gifts to serve others and to lead them to Christ. Encouraging others to live life to it's fullest is also a passion of mine.
My purpose in life is... "To bring glory to God by pursuing a rich, intimate, authentic love relationship with Jesus Christ and by investing all the resources He has entrusted to me - my gifts, my abilities, my time and my money - in ways that directly contribute to fulfilling the Great Commission."
My priorities in ministry include building and leading ministry teams through partnership, affirmation, collaboration, empowerment and accountability. I care deeply about designing and implementing ministries that reflect biblical integrity and cultural relevancy. My values and desires are to maximize each person's unique gifts, competencies and passions as they take steps of faith towards spiritual maturity.
I studied Civil Engineering and Computer Science in my early years and later received my Bachelor of Science degree at Biola University for Organizational Leadership.

I was born in Hong Kong and moved with my family to the United States when I was nine-years-old. I was raised in a strict Catholic home. I attended Catholic school, Catechism and mass every weekend. I considered myself a religious and moral person.
On February 4, 1978, I accepted an invitation to a Christian concert at Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa. I heard, for the first time, that it was possible to have a personal relationship with God. God opened my eyes and I took a step of faith in accepting Jesus Christ into my life as my Lord and Savior. My spirit came alive and I instantly developed a new awareness and passion for God and His Word.

Lisa and I have been called by God from the Shepherd's field to the Mission field. We believe that God has called us to take this step of faith to serve Him in a whole new way. We are excited yet very humbled by what He is doing in our hearts.
We are taking a step of faith, joining FaithQuest Missions and making the Y-Malawi project our primary focus. Our primary source of income will be financial support of individuals and churches. Please prayerfully consider partnering with us to mobilize the church to reach the lost and care for the extreme poor of the world."
